Welcome to LAHS!

Incoming 9th-grade students, new students, and their families are invited to our 9th Grade &
New Student Open House on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

The evening will include a presentation from the LVHN Weller Health Education Group on the
transition to high school and managing anxiety, information from the LAHS administration team
about what students and families can expect during the school year, and guided building tours
led by our student ambassadors.

Our cafeteria will also be open! Families will have the opportunity to tour the cafeteria, learn
more about our food service program, and sample some delicious food.

As students prepare for the transition to high school, here are a few tips for a successful start:

📘 Tips for Success at LAHS:
• Get organized early and keep track of assignments and important dates.
• Ask questions and reach out when you need help.
• Build good study habits from the beginning of the year.
• Use your time wisely and avoid falling behind.
• Get involved in clubs, activities, athletics, and school events.
• Take advantage of teachers, counselors, tutoring, and other school resources.
• Get enough sleep and take care of yourself.
• Remember that setbacks happen—learn from them and keep moving forward.
• Make connections with teachers, staff, and classmates.
• Attend school regularly and come ready to learn each day.

We look forward to welcoming our newest students and families to LAHS and helping everyone
start the 2026–2027 school year with confidence!
