Varsity Girls Softball 3:15 p.m. at the Varsity Softball Field (If inside, 5:30-7:30 at the Middle School)

Games
JV Girls Softball is HOME against Pottsville Area at 4:00 p.m.
Varsity CoEd Tennis is AWAY at Bangor Area at 4:00 p.m. Please DISMISS at 2:00 p.m. for 2:15 p.m. DEPARTURE.
Varsity Boys Baseball is AWAY at Northern Lehigh at Bryfogle Park-Berlinsville at 4:15 p.m.

 

 

Wrestling Meeting
There will be a brief wrestling meeting Tuesday, 3/25 during enrichment in the cafeteria. All wrestlers from this past season are required to attend to get the important information that will be covered.

 

Senior Superlatives for 2025 Yearbook
Seniors,
In your school email you will find a link to a form that will allow you to submit your senior quotes and activities and one for voting on for senior superlatives for the 2025 Yearbook. Please use your school email to access these links and follow all directions. Forms are due by March 24th at the end of the school day. Questions? Please see Mrs. Klotz or any yearbook member.

Another reminder that yearbooks are still on sale and can be purchased at Jostens.com.

 

Summer Youth Work Program Applications
The Summer Youth Program is designed to give Carbon County Youth, between the ages of 14-24 a chance to gain work experience, earn money and contribute to their community by working in various organizations during the summer months. The program usually lasts 8-10 weeks and participants can work up to 40 hours a week and receive pay of $10.35 per hour.
Worksites include local parks, boroughs, schools, county agencies and other organizations.
Applications can be found in the Guidance Office and returned no later than Monday, April 28, 2025.

 

Volunteer Hours Opportunity
The Elementary Center PTO is looking for volunteers to help with the Little Indians Bingo event at the Orioles on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Please use this link to sign up.

 

Book Swap Volunteers
Ms. Hoppes from the Elementary Center is looking for help for a book swap that will be held on April 10th. She could use help from 3:30 - 7:30. Students do not need to do all four hours, but can if you want to volunteer that much time. Email choppes@lehighton.org with your interest.

 

Chess Club
The Chess Club will meet during enrichment on Days 1 and 5.

 

Senior Dates and Deadlines
Senior outing paperwork and senior dues and or fundraising is due to Mrs. Hartney by February 20, 2025
Prom tickets go on sale on March 24th to March 31st

Chemistry Study Pods
We will be having Chemistry Study Pods on Mondays and Wednesdays during enrichment in the guidance office. Please come down to the guidance office prior to enrichment to get an enrichment pass.

 

Group Counseling
Any student interested in participating in group counseling with Ms. Jess should refer to their student email to learn more information and to utilize the google sign up.

 

Damian Mele Memorial Basketball Tournament Volunteer Opportunity
Fourth Annual Damian C. Mele Memorial Basketball Tournament.

The Damian Mele Memorial Basketball Tournament honors the loving memory of former Lehighton High School basketball player Damian C. Mele. It is held to celebrate and remember a life filled with family, friends, happiness and competition.

The tournament will have a 3v3 double elimination format with casual and competitive divisions. Event day features a basket raffle, home cooked food and memorial t-shirts/merchandise for sale. All proceeds generated from the tournament go directly towards the Damian C. Mele Memorial Scholarship Fund. These funds allow us to award scholarships to local high school students to financially support their goals after graduation.

We look forward to the possibility of seeing some of your athletes participate in the basketball tournament, but we understand not all students may be interested in competing. That's ok, we also have several volunteer opportunities available. We believe these will make excellent opportunities for students that want or need to fulfill volunteer hours.

Reminder to Seniors- Check Email Frequently
Reminder to seniors to keep checking the scholarship google link sent through your student email for a list of scholarship opportunities.

 

Early Pick Up Notes
Students, please remember that you must bring in a note from a parent when getting picked up for appointments, etc. The notes should be turned into the guidance office the morning of the appointment.

 

 

EC PTO Volunteer Opportunities

The Elementary Center PTO is looking for babysitters for their monthly membership meetings. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Below is a list of meeting dates. Please email Mrs. Lindsey Hittner at lehightonecpto@gmail.com with your interest. Be sure to keep an eye out as there will be other volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
