Wellness Fair Help Needed
We are looking for an interested student to help at the Wellness Fair on April 27th from 9-1 to assist the Nutrition Group as their mascot, Molly the Cow. Please see Mrs. Howland to express interest.

 

Keystone Testing
Keystone Exams (2 hour delay schedule):
Keystone Exams will be on the following dates: Biology – May 13 and 14, Literature – May 15 and 16, Algebra 1 – May 20 and 21. We will conduct a modified (2 hour delay start for students not testing).

Students who are scheduled for Keystone testing from 7:30am to 10:30am will receive testing information in the next week. They will also receive a parent letter provided by the PA Department of Education.

Students WHO ARE NOT TAKING A KEYSTONE EXAM will be permitted to arrive at 9:30am with their own transportation. Those unable to find alternative transportation will ride their regularly scheduled bus and remain in the auditorium until 9:30am.

 

Carbon County Workforce Applications
Applications for the Carbon County Workforce Summer Employment are available in the Guidance Office.

 

2024-2025 Cheer Meeting
There will be an informational Cheer meeting on April 18, 2024 during enrichment in the Auditorium for any students interested in trying out for cheering in the 2024-2025 school year.

 

 

Fall Physicals

PIAA Fall Physicals will be on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 in the Guidance Suite.

 

 

Keystone Boys State
The Pennsylvania American Legion Keystone Boys State is an educational workshop for high school student leaders. Students selected to attend KBS have the opportunity to gain leadership skills through an intensive week-long summer program. The workshop runs from June 16-22, 2024. Scholarship Opportunities
The Pennsylvania American Legion has scholarship opportunities for qualifying high school seniors. These scholarships benefit the children or grandchildren of PA American Legion Members who are in good standing for at least 5 years, deceased, killed in action, or missing in action. Household income cannot exceed $65,000 per year and proof of eligibility is required.

Elmer Hafer Youth Camp
The Elmer Hafer American Legion State Police National Guard Youth Camp brings together the PA National Guard, American Legion, and the State Police to give students first hand experience in many areas of law enforcement and the military. This program enhances leadership skills, discipline, and self-esteem to morally, intellectually, and physically prepare cadets as future leaders. The camp runs from June 9-15, 2024. Marywood University- Design your Future- Architecture Program

Marywood University will be holding an Architecture Summer Program between June 22 and June 29, 2024, at the Marywood University's School of Architecture (MUSoA). This is an inside architecture summer program offering junior and senior high school students a first-hand insight into our studio and school culture, and our approach to studies in architecture and associated disciplines. The selection of projects, competitions, guest lectures, workshops, daytrip, and final exhibition of the program, are organized with the desire of preparing and familiarizing high school students who are considering to pursue their studies in architecture, interior architecture, or construction management.

Seniors, It's Time to Order Caps and Gowns!
Seniors, use the link and follow the instructions below to order your caps and gowns! The deadline to order is February 9, 2024

Once you get to the homepage, click on "Graduation"

First, you will see graduation packages, if you are interested in any packages just click on the package you are interested in. All cap/gown/tassel are included in each package.

If you are not interested in any specific packages, scroll down and you will see "Shop All Graduation Packages," click that.

You will then see less expensive packages.

Continue scrolling down and you will see individual items – cap/gown/tassel unit will be on the left side.

Click the cap gown tassel unit and follow the process. Once you have your order in the cart scroll down to where it says submit order.

Click on that and you’re done. You should receive your receipt after submitting.

 

2023-2024 Yearbooks for Sale
The 2023/2024 Yearbooks are on sale! To purchase a book you can simply scan a QR code located on the posters around the school, visit the link on the school website or go to Jostens.com.
Senior families and friends can also purchase a senior recognition advertisement using the online link.
