Senior Portraits for the Class of 2027 will be taken at Lehighton High School on August 17, 18, and 19 through Barksdale School Portraits. Students did receive a senior portrait flyer from their homeroom teacher. If you need another copy, extra flyers are available in the Guidance Office.
All seniors must be photographed for the yearbook. Appointment availability is limited, so we encourage you to schedule your session as soon as possible.

2026 Fall Sports Physical Information & Registration
Our Fall Sports physicals window has officially opened to upload your information. The previous system, BigTeams, was bought out by Arbiter Sports. Therefore we are required to use a new system this year. There may be some issues at first but please be patient as the company works out any issues on their end. Reminder that all physicals must be uploaded online when completed. WE no longer accept paper copies. Any student planning on playing a Fall sport must have a physical dated May 1st 2026 or later! πCarbon County Fair Queen Contest - Now Accepting Applicationsπ
If any students are interested in competing in the Carbon County Fair Queen Program, applications are now being taken!
There are two positions candidates can compete for:
Junior Miss (Ages 13–15)
Fair Queen (Ages 16–20)
**Winners and runners-up will be crowned at the Carbon County Fair, taking place August 3–8**
This program is designed to:
• Promote education and leadership through scholarship opportunities
• Encourage involvement in the Carbon County Fair and highlight its history and community impact
• Help educate others about the agricultural industry
• Foster a deeper understanding of the importance of agriculture in our community

State Police Youth Week & Keystone Boys State Opportunity
π¨πΌKeystone Boys State: June 14-20, 2026 at Messiah University - Open to boys after the completion of the Junior year. Students participate in an in-depth simulation of state and local government in Pennsylvania, in which they conduct the operations of city, county, and state government as part of 2 mock political parties. Participants compete for office and work to pass legislation to overcome political, economic, and social challenges. The American Legion may sponsor 1 High School student. π¨Teen First Responder Camp - Register Now! π
Interested in exploring careers in health care or public safety? The Emergency Medicine Institute is offering a Teen First Responder Camp from August 10–14, 2026, running daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This program is open to students ages 13–17 and is a great opportunity to build skills, gain knowledge, and experience hands-on learning in emergency response.
Throughout the week, students will learn about personal health and wellness, hear career presentations, and participate in skills training related to health care and public safety fields. Participants will also earn valuable certifications, including CPR & First Aid and Stop the Bleed.
The registration fee is $200, which includes a camp t-shirt, a light breakfast each day and certifications.
